Think, think before you “tweet, tweet.”

CNN editor, Octavia Nasr, was fired by CNN over a tweet praising late ayatollah. Nasr used her official Twitter account to write:

“Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah. One of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot.”

The tweet represented her personal opinion, but was considered impolite by some. Of course, the tweet was quickly removed from her Twitter timeline, but by then it had been heavily circulated, with criticism mounting.

If you are tweeting on your company’s official Twitter page or you are in anyway representing your brand online, think before you tweet. An innocent mishap could cost you your job. Think, think before you tweet, tweet.
